Motion
Evil House is a DIY Venue that hosts local Seattle bands and musicians. They have been massively successful in their few years of hosting shows in the University District of Seattle. From its conception until October 2024 I was their chief designer and artist, creating unique posters, merchandise, zines, and other promotional materials.
Posters
I created a series of four micro-animations with a focus on incorporating the principles of motion. The goal of this project was to practice bringing a visually cohesive set of UI elements to life with fluid motion, creating UI elements to fit together as a visual set.

Posters
or this project, we crafted a story about a product, and develop a way to tell a story about it visually, incorporating either video or photography as well as After Effects animations. Eager to incorporate footage filmed by my friend Dezi's drone, I chose to make my video about Ford, which is her model of car. I used mostly her beautiful footage as well as some Adobe Stock videos.

Stop Motion
For this project, we explored stop motion by using still photography, digital animation and sound to compile frame by frame photography into a object-motion movie. We were instructed to create an unexpected analog character (not hand-drawn) and tell of story with that character. I created a story about two main characters, who were crafted using wire, tin foil, and clay. The set was made under my desk with the same materials and construction paper.

Music Interpretation
For this assignment, we created a series of explorations that use the formal characteristics (size, shape, color, transparency) to create the design principle of rhythm in motion, while also exploring the design principles of figure/ground and balance. This is also a study in audio/visual relationships and interpretation of music. Our visuals were to respond to the music, highlighting specific elements of the song. I chose a moderately upbeat song to give myself plenty of opportunity to represent different elements and beats. In segments of around 15 seconds, I manipulated the color, size, shape, and then opacity of the elements to give them the appearance of responding to the music.

Interaction of Color
For this project, we explored interaction of color through telling a story with animation, based on our studies of Alber's Interaction of Color theory. I used Procreate to animate a story about two characters while simultaneously demonstrating Albers' theory. My partner, Maya Dolan, was responsible for making the backdrops.
